Food for Healthy Hair

Hair that has been dyed, bleached or chemically treated can look dull and lifeless, even natural hair can become dry and brittle. 

Vitamins from the B complex group and the minerals Iron, Iodine and Sulphar are essential for healthy hair. The easiest way to get as many of these into your body is by juicing them. Think of each glass as an elixir for beautiful hair.

Try any of the recipes below, rich in vital nutrients for gloriously glossy hair. Adults can drink up to 3 glasses per day but for maximum benefit try to vary between the different combinations.

Lucious Locks...

Ingredients

  • 125g of Winter Cabbage 
  • 2 large Carrots
  • 6 Raddishes

Method

Juice the lot and pour over ice.




Silky Smooth...

Ingredients

  • 125g of Mangetout (Snow Pea)
  • Handful of Kale
  • 2 large Carrots
  • 1/2 Parsnip

Method

Juice 1 Carrot, followed by Kale and Mangetout. Next juice the second Carrot and Parsnip.




Bliss...

Ingredients

  • 2 Oranges 
  • Small bunch of Grapes
  • Half a Pineapple (skin removed)
  • 125g Raspberries 
  • 2 Passion Fruit (cut in half and scoop out the pulp)

Method...

  • Juice the Oranges, followed by Grapes then Pineapple
  • Blend Raspberries and Passion Fruit
  • Combine and stir both mixtures in a glass
