Kale is a superfood and has numerous health benefits. It's packed with essential nutrients and is a must to have in your diet.
Kale is as versatile as spinach and is easy to add to your daily meals or juices. I didn't have much kale growing up and when I began trying to consume more of it it seemed all alien to me but honestly now for me, it's as familiar as adding a salad to a meal :)
Let's look at the different ways on how you can't eat more kale...
The great thing about kale is that you can eat it raw and by having it without cooking you get the full nutritional value of it.
1) Add it to your juices
The simplest and easy way to have it (my personal favorite way) is to add it to your juices. Kale works really well in a blender or juicer. The taste of kale compliments and works really well with other green vegetables.
2) Add to your salads
Kale leaves are ideal to corporate into a healthy salad. I love to add spinach and kale leaves to my salad for an added nutrient boost.
Plus... you need to try the famous kale and avocado salad!
3) Add to sandwiches
Instead of using iceberg salad to compliment your sandwich use kale leaves instead. Kale works really well with cheese, onion and tomato.
4) Dehydrated Kale Chips (Sweet)
Make with coconut oil, agave syrup and cocoa. Simple blend these ingredients and cover the kale leaves before putting in your dehydrator. These are absolutely delicious and a must try!
5) Dehydrated Kale Chips (Savoury)
Use pesto, nuts & seeds like sunflower seeds, almonds or wall nuts. Blend with olive oil, lemon juice and yeast flakes. Place on the kale and straight into the dehydrator. Season with a little salt and enjoy!
6) Use Kale leaves like a burrito
This has become really popular with salad leaves but guess what it works just as well if not better with kale leaves ;)
As you can see there are many different and tasty ways you can enjoy more kale. I hope now you will be incorporating more kale in your diet. As you can see it's simple to include and enjoy into your daily meals.
