Juicing Recipes for Kids

"Juicing Recipes for Kids - Check out these tasty and nutricious juices for your children. Delicious and easy to prepare, kids juicing made simple."

I know, I know making your kids eat vegetables can be harder than trying to solve an algebra equation. Not just that, trying to get them to eat nutrious food is a task and a half.

Juices are just as nutritious for children as they are for adults, but in lesser quantities. Fresh juices need to be diluted by at least half for children as the strong concentration may over power the digestive systems.

I advise sticking to the following guidelines:

  • 3 - 12 years of age - should drink no more than 5fl oz/145ml of fresh juice per day diluted.
  • Teenagers can start drinking undiluted juice but stick to 1 or 2 servings of 8fl oz/230 ml per day.
  • Avoid giving children strong ingredients in their juices such as: spinach, watercress, parsley and beetroot. If you do then try to only use a couple of leaves or 1-2 thin slices of these ingredients. Advisable to mix with other milder juice such as carrot or apple.
